Obituary announcement for old comrade Randy Stott

STOTT, Randall William We are heart broken to announce the sudden passing of Randy Stott on 21 April 2017 in Victoria, BC. Randy is predeceased by his beloved wife, Marie Louise Stott (nee Johnston), and survived by their two children Becky Stott (Jay Paton) and Scott Stott (Melissa), his father and mother Jim and Kay Stott, his two brothers Tim (Cheryl) and Terry (Carleen) and families, and his brothers-in-law Keith and Kevin Johnston and families. He will be especially missed by the grandchildren he adored, Jameson, Abigail and Lydia. Randy was a dedicated member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 37 years. He retired as a Master Warrant Officer with numerous decorations, including the Special Service Medal and Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal with special skills in Czechoslovakian and Serbo-Croatian languages. He completed numerous tours overseas and up north, sacrificing much to protect his country and family. Randy loved sports and enjoyed coaching his son's teams, as well as cheering on his favourites; the Roughriders, Leafs and Blue Jays. His name will be forever engraved on the new Roughriders stadium, so look for him there! Those close to him also knew of his love for fishing and boating, and he and Louise often enjoyed their second home on the water during nice Ontario weather. A small service will be held at Riverside Memorial Gardens in Regina, Saskatchewan on 16 May 2017 at 11 a.m. A reception will be held following the interment at Travelodge Hotel and Conference Centre, 4177 Albert St S. In lieu of cards or gifts, please consider supporting our veterans with a donation to your local Royal Canadian Legion, www.legion.ca. Well done soldier, dismissed.1
