Obituary announcement for club member Ernest Ross Creed LM346

CREED, Ernest "Ross"It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ross at the age of 86 on July 26, 2016 at the Ottawa General Hospital. Survived by his partner and best friend, Doreen McKee. Dear brother of Margaret Watson of Arizona. Uncle to Marlene Quirk (Paul) of Pontiac, Quebec, Betsi Skolaris (Fred) of Ohio, Joyce-Lee Horvath of New Mexico, Ed Creed (Wendy) of Winnipeg, Manitoba and many cousins. Predeceased by his parents, Jessie and Frank Creed; brother, Frank (Sonny) (Angie); nephew, Allan Creed of Springhill, Nova Scotia; and his sister, Joyce Chapman of Ohio. He will be remembered by his dear friend and caregiver, Richard Beck. Ross devoted his whole life to the military, 32 years as a proud member of the Royal Canadian Signals Corps and 30 years as a civilian with National Defence Headquarters. He was also a member of the NCO Sergeants Mess, and the Montgomery Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and his jokes. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O'Connor) on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 2 p.m. In memoriam, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
